Bill splitter app: everyone pays for their own items
Fairpiece splits a shared bill line by line. Add the receipt, tick who had what and send one link. Everyone sees their share, down to the cent, and whom to pay.
What Fairpiece does
You make one bill per event: a dinner, a trip, a weekend away. A bill holds every receipt from it, and each receipt can have its own payer. For every line you tick who had it, and Fairpiece works out what each person owes and to whom.
- Shares to the cent. An item is split equally between the people who had it, and the shares always add up to the receipt.
- Several payers. You paid for groceries and Max paid for fuel? Each receipt keeps its payer, and everyone sees whom to pay and how much.
- A link for friends. People in a bill are just names. They open your link in any browser, with no app and no account.
- Payment details on the bill. Add your card or bank details to the bill, and everyone sees them next to what they owe you.
- Paid back. Mark who has paid you back and see who still owes.
- A PDF for the group chat. Share the link or the PDF: free after a short video, instant with Pro.
Why split by item, not equally
An equal split is quick, and it is fair only when everyone had about the same. Someone skips the wine, someone orders only a salad, someone arrives for dessert. Splitting by item takes a few more taps, and nobody pays for food or drinks they never had.
A picnic for four came to $64.80. Split equally, that is $16.20 each. Split by item, the person who skipped the pizza pays $9.00. See the worked example.

Questions
Is this bill splitter app free?
Yes. Bills, receipts and shares are free, with ads. Share the link or the PDF: free after a short video, instant with Pro. Pro also adds the AI receipt scan, receipt photos and personal checks, and removes the ads.
Does everyone in the group need the app?
No. Only the person who makes the bill uses Fairpiece. Everyone else opens a link in any browser, finds their name and sees what they owe, without signing up.
Can it split a check when two people paid?
Yes. Each receipt has its own payer. If Anna paid for dinner and Max paid for drinks, everyone sees how much they owe Anna and how much they owe Max, separately.
Does Fairpiece send money?
No. It works out who owes whom and how much. People pay each other the way they always do, using the payment details you add to the bill.
Which currencies can I use?
Each bill has one currency, and you can pick almost any currency in use today. Amounts are never converted at an exchange rate: the number stays the same, only the decimals follow the currency (150.50 becomes 151 in a currency without decimals).
